After Life is a conceptual moving-image series about what remains after a figure leaves the frame. Dark sculptural objects and a silhouetted person beneath an evening sky gave the project its two registers: physical trace and remembered movement.

The motion system uses slow entrances, delayed fades and brief repetitions to make absence visible. Forms are introduced in fragments before resolving, while the figure is often held at the edge of the composition. A limited palette of black, deep red and blue dusk keeps the shifts in time legible without turning them into effects for their own sake.

Otho developed titles, transitions and editorial sequences for short films and digital presentations. Text appears as a measured index, marking chapters and durations rather than narrating the imagery. Recurrent silhouettes connect object studies to exterior scenes, allowing the series to move between studio control and open distance. After Life becomes a focused fictional framework for motion: quiet, repeatable and recognisable through timing as much as through form.
