Brand Identity

Qystem is an independent identity concept for a collection of dark, precisely made vessels and sculptural forms. The existing black cylinders, stacked objects and twilight figure called for a system that communicates through proportion, spacing and surface rather than prominent decoration.

Otho built the identity around a narrow typographic register and a modular catalogue logic. Objects are photographed with controlled highlights so edges remain visible against deep backgrounds. Small labels establish scale and sequence, while muted red and evening blue appear as occasional points of orientation within an otherwise restrained palette.

The system extends across object cards, collection indices and a compact digital presentation. Information follows the same order in every format, allowing material, dimensions and image to be compared without visual noise. Transitions are slow and direct, echoing the stillness of the photography. Qystem becomes a coherent fictional brand world whose recognition comes from disciplined repetition and clear relationships between object, label and space.
